Get the particulars from the other party. It is the obligation of your lawyer to contact the other party involved for the essential details of your divorce. He is also expected to have conversations with them and, if possible, strive for out-of-court settlement.
Complete all necessary preparation and planning. If out-of-court settlement cannot be done, it is the responsibility of your divorce lawyer / attorney to prepare for the court hearing and do the planning. He is also obligated to explain and inform the client on the possible outcomes of the case and to set his client’s expectations.
