No, it’s not an easy task to find a family lawyer in Los Angeles, specially in a time of crisis. I get a lot of clients calling me at a moment in their life in which they don’t even want to leave their house, much less find legal advice. It’s rough for me to see people in such situations, I became a lawyer to help others in need; but it does get to you when you have to fight a custody battle.
Being a single parent now for several years has made me have a different appreciation for those in my situation, I can relate so much more now with parents that want the right to see their kids. My kids mean everything to me, they give me the strength to move on and I want the best for them; no matter what it costs. Do I sound like I’m giving a sales pitch or I’m lawyer that says he cares just to get your money?
I do enjoy getting paid, I’ve worked very hard for many years to get where I am at. But that’s not the reason I got into this business. I did it because I care about the law and because I want to make sure the law serves the public in the manner they deserve. Specially when it comes to matters such as a divorce.
